The 4L60E-HD2 is a "Street/Strip" kit designed for very firm, aggressive shifts and high-horsepower racing. If you want a transmission that feels solid but still comfortable for your family or work truck, the SK 4L60E is the correct choice.
Will this kit fix my transmission if it’s already slipping?
If your 3-4 clutches are already burnt to the metal, no kit can fix the mechanical damage. However, if your slipping is caused by hydraulic issues (indicated by codes P1870 or P0894), this kit replaces the worn valves that cause the slip. If caught early, it can save your transmission from a total teardown.
Is this kit compatible with vehicles that have Active Fuel Management (AFM)?
