Sonnax Bypass Blocker Valve Kit for 6R140

The Sonnax bypass blocker valve kit eliminates the problematic OE thermal element in Ford 6R140 transmissions ('11–'16 models), which often sticks and causes overheating. The drop-in Zip Valve™ installs quickly and easily, removing the need for the OE thermal element and improving system reliability.

Compatibility: Fits 2011–2016 models only. Can be used with or without the Sonnax converter limit valve kit 126740-25K.

Symptoms Addressed:

  • Excess heat

Cause: In early-design ('11-'16) valve bodies, the OE thermal element may stick in the bypass position, leading to transmission overheating.

Correction: This bypass plug and retainer replace the faulty thermal element, preventing bypass hang-up issues.

Warning:

  • This kit is recommended for warm climates or when using synthetic fluids to replace the OE thermal bypass element.
  • If used in '17-later applications to replace a missing blocker plug, it must be installed along with Sonnax converter limit valve kit 126740-25K.
